|Robin Shakespeare - School Improvement Leader
Robin joined the Trust in August 2015 as School Improvement Leader. Previously he was a Local Authority School Improvement Adviser in Essex, where he was responsible for professional development programmes across 450 primary and secondary schools. He brings with him a track record of successfully supporting schools to rapidly improve outcomes and strong experience in developing, commissioning and delivering high quality school improvement programmes. Robin is an experienced secondary English teacher and leader.
Peter Gilbride - Strategic Lead Mathematics
Peter joined the Trust in June 2015 as Strategic Lead Mathematics. Previously Peter was Head of Maths at Campion School and Head of Maths at Park Hall Academy. He is an expert examiner for Edexcel, IBO and Cambridge International as well as having taught maths to A Level for over 10 years.
Peter brings this wealth of experience in mathematics education to the trust where his day to day responsibilities have included mentoring heads of department, quality assuring the work of our maths teams and leading training on mathematics pedagogy. Peter also teaches mathematics across the Trust to students in Year 11 in order to embedd targeted intervention strategies. In the run up to PPE’s look out for one of his Walking Talking Mocks where Peter will go through a full GCSE paper with up to 120 students at a time.
Elizabeth Halsall - Strategic Data Lead
Elizabeth (Liz) Halsall joined MAT as the Strategic Data Lead in 2016 . Her roles are to support data
collection and the use of data to ensure that all data and systems such as 4Matrix are used effectively across the Trust.
A key part of Liz's work will be running reports to analyse the progress of particular groups of students and subject areas to enable targeted improvements. Liz is passionate in her mantra that the Trust can never underestimate how powerful a tool, data can be, especially when used to inform Teaching and Learning. Liz is keen to ensure that Assessment data can be accessed by all stakeholders to support school improvement and raise levels of pupil progress and attainment across the trust.
Liz has previously managed data for another academy trust as well as having been a data analyst with SIMS Capita.
Ray Le Tarouilly - Careers Advisor,
Ray joined the trust in September 2014, initially on a one year secondment from North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, and from September 2015 on a permanent basis. He is Careers Advisor at all four Trust academies. Duties include careers interviews, group work on a range of topics including post 16 and 18 options, higher education finance and decision making skills.
Ray has been a careers advisor since 1988 and has worked in a wide range of settings across the UK with the former Careers and Connexions Services, including high schools in the grant maintained and independent sectors, colleges of further education, prisons and with unemployed adults.
