MAT schools work closely with employers to ensure that students are developing the right mix of skills and subject knowledge to equip them for future employment, either directly from school or following Further or Higher Education.
We do this by developing close relationships with Businesses from all sectrors and ranging in size from large multi national companies to sole traders and partnerships.
The Trust plays an active part in the work of local enterprise partnerships for Coventry and Warwickshire and also Leicester and Leicestershire. Our Employer partners work directly with our academies in a range of ways, including:
We are very keen to hear from employers in the region who want to play a role in shaping the education on offer to our young people, whether through attending our schools to give talks, sharing their own stories, or more formal partnerships such as providing work placements, setting work based projects or joining our board of trustees.. In particular we are working by the CWLEP and LLEP to secure Enterprise Advisers for each of our Academies, Please contact us to get involved.
The Trust nurtures strong relationships with universities in the local region and throughout the UK in order to provide our students with the best possible progression rates to Higher Education, whether through the traditional route of A Levels and Level 3 BTEC diplomas, or through increasingly popular work-based routes such as Apprenticeships and part-time Foundation degrees, all of which can be provided through North Warwickshire & Hinckley College.
Our sponsor, North Warwickshire & Hinckley College is recognised as a DfE-approved academy sponsor and has strong links with all organisations determined to play a part in improving the employment chances of our young people and the economic development of the region. These organisations include the Local Enterprise Partnerships for Leicester and Leicestershire, and Coventry and Warwickshire, Chambers of Commerce and WorldSkills UK.
