The royal marines came to the Academy on the 19th September to deliver physical based activities to the pupils in years 9 – 11. 90 pupils took part in the sessions where pupils had to work together to overcome different physical activities. Such as the minefield game where pupils had to balance on planks of wood and make their way across the minefield without any one falling off, tug of war games and transporting their team from one end of the sports hall to the other, using only one mat. Pupils learnt about how to be resilient and work together as a team, which they all enjoyed. The Royal Marines also delivered an assembly for the pupils providing them with information on the different careers that are open to them.
