Last weekend thirty pupils and staff spent three days at the Acorn Adventure site in Brecon Beacons. Pupils chose either kayaking or climbing and over the two days they learnt lots of new skills in these two sports. The pupils had four sessions in their chosen sport and had to demonstrate the skills they had learnt in a variety of situations. The climbers visited an indoor centre to try climbing on real rocks in an old mine as well as the climbing walls and the bouldering walls. The kayakers had the whole lake on their doorstep to learn and practice their new skills. The effort and behaviour of all pupils was exceptional throughout the weekend. Mrs Havard is now busy planning the trip for later next year.
